The BCCI has convened a working committee meeting in Chennai on December 28 to decide the fate of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) in the wake of Lalit Modi’s possible return to cricket administration as RCA president.Modi, the founding IPL chairman, was banned for life from Indian cricket in September following an internal inquiry that found him guilty on eight charges. However, the court allowed him to contest the RCA elections since the state association is governed by the Rajasthan Sports Act.The Supreme Court, which monitored the RCA elections held on December 19, is likely to announce the result in its next hearing on January 6.Even if the board’s working committee, which consists of 24 members, supports the suspension of the RCA from all official cricket activities – as hinted by BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel in a letter to RCA president CP Joshi last week – the committee is unlikely to take the call.According to the BCCI constitution, if a member of the board commits an act of indiscipline or misconduct, the matter will have to be handed over to the disciplinary committee and the disciplinary committee’s recommendations have to be ratified with three-fourths majority in a special general meeting.Some of the working committee members feel Saturday’s meeting will be an attempt on the ruling faction’s part to constitute an inquiry and to “gauge if they can gain the three-fourths majority”.Despite the court allowing Modi to contest the election, the BCCI feels it can penalise the RCA since the association is a BCCI affiliate. If the BCCI suspends the RCA for allowing a banned individual to be involved in administration, it is likely to find itself in yet another legal battle.

– O Diego (Souza) é um que passou a cair para a direita, mas em alguns momentos, no segundo tempo, veio flutuar por dentro para que Erik e Pimpão ocupem mais o espaço nas costas. Contamos com a experiência deles para que tudo ocorra mais naturalmente, até criarmos mais hábito entre eles.

Erik é o artilheiro do Botafogo na temporada, com oito gols. Diego Souza, por sua vez, tem apenas um em sete jogos e não marca há cinco partidas. Os dois já vêm se dando muito bem fora do campo e compartilhando os encontros entre as famílias. Agora, ainda mais com uma semana cheia para Barroca trabalhar para o confronto diante do Fluminense, a tendência é que a dupla dê a desejada liga dentro das quatro linhas e decida no clássico de sábado.

ويستضيف ملعب “الأنفيلد” مباراة الفريقين في إطار منافسات الجولة الثانية من البطولة، موسم 2023/24.

وسبق أن فاز ليفربول على بورنموث، بتسعة أهداف دون رد على ملعب “الأنفيلد” في الموسم الماضي.

وقال أندوني إيراولا في تصريحات نشرتها شبكة “بي بي سي” العالمية: “من الواضح أن تلك المباراة تُعد تحديًا كبيرًا بالنسبة للفريق”.

وأضاف: “بالنسبة لي كمدرب، أعتقد أننا نلعب ضد فريق جيد للغاية، أعتقد أنهم قاموا أيضًا بتعاقدات جيدة جدًا”.

وواصل: “ستكون المباراة صعبة للغاية من الناحية البدنية، لأنهم يمتلكون لاعبين سريعين للغاية، مستعدون للعب بوتيرة عالية، والضغط في المساحات طوال الوقت، والهجمات المرتدة، ومستعدون للضغط عاليًا كذلك”.

It was all too easy for South Africa Under-19s as they brushed passed their neighbours Zimbabwe Under-19s by seven wickets in Abu Dhabi and entered the quarter-finals with three consecutive wins. Their seamers bundled out Zimbabwe for 198 and the target was overhauled by the captain Aiden Markram, who scored a century, and Yaseen Valli, who continued his golden run with an unbeaten fifty and in the process became the tournament’s leading run-scorer.South Africa had a minor hiccup with their top order, barring Markram, failing to click. Clyde Fortuin made his third consecutive score of 4 when he was trapped lbw on the backfoot to the seamer Cuthbert Musoko. Kirwin Christoffels survived an early shout for caught behind off the seamer but he was eventually dismissed by the left-arm spinner Herbert Chikomba bowled trying to sweep. Chikomba was on a hat-trick when he trapped Greg Oldfield lbw, leaving South Africa at a potentially slippery 54 for 3 in 11.2 overs.Markram and Valli then built steadily and could afford to take their time. Zimbabwe gambled by opting to bat first on a grassy pitch, which the seamers, led by Justin Dill, exploited to pick up seven wickets.The loss of two early wickets put pressure on the middle order, as they looked to boost a sagging run rate. Charles Kunje and Ryan Burl perished playing loose shots outside the off stump to the seamers. Kieran Geyle infused some life in the innings with five boundaries in his 39 before he was caught behind off Dill.South Africa used as many as eight bowlers and could afford to experiment since this wasn’t a pressure match. Valli, who took four wickets against Canada, did not bowl. Jongwe smashed four sixes in his half-century to prop up the total, but it wasn’t sufficient to challenge South Africa.”I’m very glad to get the runs for the team,” Markram said after the match. “It is one of my best knocks I guess.
